Can Anything be Done to Help the Dallas Cowboys?

Dallas Cowboys Defense
The defense has been far worse than the offense all season and needs the most change. Granted Randy Gregory and Chidobe Awuzie coming back should help, there are serious issues across this entire defense. There is very little the Cowboys are doing right on this side of the ball and to get them to be an average unit will take work.
The first step is to stop allowing Jaylon Smith to play in space. The team is struggling to get any pressure on quarterbacks and Smith plays his best coming downhill. Find ways to get Smith more involved playing downhill and not having him cover or spy a quarterback as much as you can.
Speaking of pass rush, the Cowboys have to get Dontari Poe off the field. He is providing nothing of value to this team right now and Everson Griffen has not been a good signing either. It might be time to let some of the young guys get more playing time and hope they can provide more and get some reps. They could hunt for a trade or even a practice squad player, but there is a huge need.
The other big issue has been at safety. By not signing a quality safety the Cowboys have thrown out probably the worst safety duo in the NFL. Johnathan Cyprien is on the 49ers practice squad and certainly wouldn’t be worse at this point. Heck, they could go grab Nigel Warrior off the Raven practice squad and give him a go.
The corners have also been awful and the first name on the list is Daryl Worley who has been absolutely terrible this season. Diggs has been good, but he is a rookie, Brown has had moments, but with Chidobe out, there is very little bright spots at corner. They have to be looking for two corners in trade or practice squads.
