The Dallas Cowboys have roughly a dozen players who will be testing free agency this March. For the few of those players who are above the age of 30, the Cowboys should probably let them walk. But today we’re going to focus on five players that they absolutely must bring back to their roster for the 2021 NFL Season.

Players the Dallas Cowboys should let enter Free Agency:

  • Tyrone Crawford
  • Sean Lee
  • C.J. Goodwin
  • Andy Dalton

Dallas can find replacements for all these players either in the 2021 NFL Draft or in Free Agency. Jourdan Lewis is a wild card for the Cowboys. With the Cowboys looking to add a defensive back in the draft, Jourdan Lewis is not a must-sign player.

The Dallas Cowboys have some of their own free agents who must be re-signed in 2021

There are a lot of great cornerbacks in the 2021 Free Agency group. Lets take a look at the top cornerbacks in Free Agency:

  • Shaquill Griffin
  • Desmond King
  • William Jackson III
  • Troy Hill
  • Richard Sherman
  • Brian Poole

Realistically Shaquill Griffin will most likely sign with the Seahawks. Tennessee will most likely sign Desmond King. The Rams are going to give Troy Hill a good deal. This leaves William Jackson III, Richard Sherman, and Brian Poole.

If the Cowboys could add Richard Sherman or Brian Poole, it would be a huge win. Dallas Cowboys would be getting a veteran cornerback to help develop their young group.

But outside free agents are a topic for another day. Before thinking of signing outside free agents, the Dallas Cowboys need to bring back these five players first.
