Chidobe Awuzie is a young dynamic corner that has been great for the Dallas Cowboys. In four years with the Dallas Cowboys, Awuzie has recorded 213 total tackles. Adding to his 213 total tackles he has recorded two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 37 pass break ups, and four interceptions.

Awuzie has one interception in each of his four seasons. In 2019 he had his best season with the Dallas Cowboys. During that 2019 NFL season, Chidobe Awuzie recorded 79 total tackles, one fumble recovery, one interception, and 14 pass break ups. He was also a reliable presence, starting all 16 games for the Dallas Cowboys defense.

According to spotrac.com, Chidobe Awuzie has a market value of $8.5 million average annual salary. This would mean the Dallas Cowboys would have to sign him to a four-year $34 million deal to hit market value. With the four years that Awuzie has already given the Cowboys, he stays on as an affordable piece who fits the system well.

As it sits right now, Chidobe Awuzie is the 216th best player in the NFL and the 22nd ranked cornerback in the NFL according to spotrac.com. He is only 26 years old and has a lot of great football ahead of him. Dallas needs to get this deal done because Awuzie is a big piece to their secondary and he’s on the cusp of breaking out.
