Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft
Round 5, Pick 179
Ambry Thomas, CB
Michigan
We’ve only drafted one cornerback thus far and really need to get out of the draft with two since both Chido and Lewis expected to be gone. Ifeatu Melifonwu is a pretty safe pick to start in Week 1 so the Dallas Cowboys can go a few ways here.
I just mentioned how stop routes are a strength of Sage Surratt’s because they allow him to be physical, but Michigan CB Ambry Thomas just straps it. Knew it was coming, was quick to locate, and fought through Surratt’s arm bar #SeniorBowl pic.twitter.com/sGr5SZ1cMB

Ambry Thomas is someone who could go as early as 100 or as late as 200. The 6-foot-0 189 lb. CB from Michigan opted out in 2020, which could ding him in a few scouts’ notebooks. In 34 games played, Thomas logged four interceptions and 54 tackles. He has some good film and has a willingness to compete, but he might slip through the cracks in the Draft. He’s someone I’d consider as early as pick 115.
Round 6, Pick 193
Divine Deablo SAF/LB
Virginia Tech
At 6-foot-3 226 lbs. many are projecting Divine Deablo to be a better linebacker prospect than safety. Considering there’s some overlap, I’m calling him both. As a pure safety Deablo is fairly unathletic the deeper he plays, but as a linebacker he stands out as a plus coverage guy.

Dan Quinn’s defense demands a lot from its linebackers when in coverage. That’s why we drafted an elite coverage LB like Cox in Round 3, and that’s why we’re picking Deablo here.
