Round Three – Pick 99 – Andre Cisco – Safety – Syracuse

There were some defensive tackles that would drop once in a while, but usually, it was Cisco and some receivers. I just think the Cowboys will go after safety before they go wide receiver. Jamar Johnson was a target but was usually gone by pick 99.

Cisco is a true ball-hawking safety who has range and can cover. He reacts really well to the ball in the air and is always looking to go after it. He does well to see route combinations which allows him to react to the play and make a break on the ball. He isn’t afraid of contact and does well to hit the ball carrier with good power.

For as aggressive as Cisco is, it sometimes gets him in trouble and he can time the play wrong which has led to some longer plays. While he hits hard he needs to do better about wrapping up and not going for the knockout blow every time. He will come downhill in run support and get a little out of control. He has the intelligence and athleticism to fix a lot of his issues but will give the Cowboys a playmaker in the back half of the field.
