Round Four – Pick 115 – Bobby Brown III – Defensive Tackle – Texas A&M

Alim McNeil was another name at this point, but I just think Brown is more of a traditional Cowboys pick so I went with my best guess here. The Cowboys have said they are still looking at defensive tackle, so grabbing one shouldn’t be a surprise. Brown will need some development, but that could work out with the Cowboys re-signing Woods and their free agency pickups.

Brown has the size that teams will love and his frame will help keep linebackers clean, something the Cowboys desperately need. He can move down the line quickly and flashes some really good plays both into the backfield and against the run. Has solid footwork and has shown the ability to use his upper strength well, and when he gets his base set is a powerful force.

Consistency is sometimes an issue and he can get moved against double teams due to not setting his base well all the time. While he flashed plays in the backfield, he doesn’t really have a ton of moves and his hand usage needs work. There are some questions about his motor, but when he is on, he flashes.
