Jaquan Hardy – Running Back – Tiffin University

Jaquan Hardy is a small school running back who jumps off the screen when you watch him. with a huge stiff arm and broken tackles, he’s a regular highlight reel. He is always looking for extra yards at the end of runs and never falls backward (something the Dallas Cowboys have always valued).

Hardy sets up defenders for a sharp jump cut and changes direction quickly. More quick than burner, he surprises with extreme acceleration to top speed. Really plus vision to see cut-back lanes.

Competition will certainly be a question for Hardy coming from Tiffin. His pass-catching is up and down, but shows ability.  His routes are simple and limited outside of screens so they will need a lot of work. Sometimes he will waste steps hitting a hole trying to set up defenders early or waiting for a specific lane to open up.

Hardy is a little bit of an unknown until he gets up against better competition, but flashes enough to make him an interesting prospect to keep an eye on. His ability to break tackles and accelerate will help him be a change of pace back. If he can play special teams early on, he can be a back-end rotational back.
