Brenden Knox – Running Back – Marshall

Knox is a running back that is always looking to finish runs by gaining hidden yards. He has plus vision, although it can get him into some trouble, which allows him to find open areas. He breaks arm tackles with solid balance and surprising power. He is solid in pass protection and not afraid of contact at all. He carries the ball high into his side and transitions it to the outside instinctually.

Knox does run a little upright which can cause him to ping-pong when hit from the side. He sometimes will take extra steps in the hole instead of taking one step and exploding. More quick than fast, he can get chased down from behind. With his plus vision, he is always looking to cut and find green space, which sometimes works against him being a one-speed runner. Sometimes his transition from hands is a little slow and disjointed.

Knox is a depth rotational running back who offers some power to get tough yards, but his agility will help him escape as much as his power. If he can work on the footwork, he could be a rotational or backup running back. His pass protection will give him a chance with the Dallas Cowboys
