Dallas Cowboys Offense

Offensive line (9) Tyron Smith, La’el Collins, Zack Martin, Connor Williams, Tyler Biadasz, Connor McGovern, Ty Nsekhe, Josh Ball, Brandon Knight

Much like most units, the starting spots are nearly locks. I have made the case that the center position could be up for grabs if Biadasz doesn’t progress as many of us expect and Connor McGovern seems up to the task. But regardless of how that shakes out, both Biadasz and McGovern are making the team so the roster prediction stays the same.

Nsekhe is the safest pick at swing tackle by a country mile and Josh Ball is the most skill reserve OT on the roster. The final spot goes to Brandon Knight since he can back up four of the five offensive line positions.

Tight end (3) Blake Jarwin, Dalton Schultz, Jeremy Sprinkle

Blake Jarwin should be full-go by training camp and as the best pass-catcher in the group (and it’s not even close), he’s going to get a spot in this “playing it safe” scenario. Dalton Schultz is a lock for different reasons: He’s cheap, he’s a great blocker, and a capable pass-catcher.

The final spot goes to Jeremy Sprinke. The five year vet gets the edge because of his experience. He’s a safer floor than what Sean McKeon (my favorite to get the TE3 spot) and Nick Eubanks (the most exciting challenger of the bunch). Again, it’s about raising the floor and not the ceiling in this.
