Tight Ends (3)

Dalton Schultz, Blake Jarwin, Sean McKeon

Everything is the same here even with Sean McKeon’s high-ankle sprain. There hasn’t been much buzz about Jeremy Sprinkle and Artayvious Lynn since the Michigan man’s injury leaving the three spots on the team as secure as a master lock. (Bad simile maybe?)

Dallas will have the one-two punch they’ve always sought after at the tight end position in Dalton Schultz and Blake Jarwin. Both players give the team field stretching ability with the athleticism to attack the seam. Schultz is a better inline blocker while Blake Jarwin is a machine at generating yards after the catch. The versatility of both players likely gives Kellen Moore too many packages to run on offense, of course, the only thing stopping this is another injury setback.

For once can this team have the good luck to have both playmaking tight ends play significant snaps throughout the course of the year? I’m begging!

If the unimaginable happens, McKeon is a great consolation once he comes back, which should be any day at this point. McKeon gives them an athletic mismatch from 12 and 13 personnel looks and is a tough inline blocker. He also is incredibly helpful at contributing to special teams.

Expect him to be out for a few weeks to start the regular season with Jeremy Sprinkle potentially his taking up his place for the time being. But when he comes back, he replaces Sprinkle and joins the team in his rightful place as a TE3 for this offense, a group that should be humming along by then.

Awesome!
