The Dallas Cowboys Week 10 “A” Honor Roll

CeeDee Lamb, WR

Do you think the NFL realizes how bad they screwed up letting CeeDee fall all the way to Dallas at pick 17 last year? The second year receiver from Oklahoma is currently 10th in the NFL in receiving yards and 9th in touchdowns. Of those ahead of him on this list, only two (Ja’Marr Chase and DeeBo Samuel) have a higher yards/reception or yards/target than Lamb.

The return of Michael Gallup caused some to worry Lamb’s market share would dry up. If Sunday against the Falcons is any indication, quite the opposite should be expected.

As we discussed Sunday, the return of Gallup has a trickle-down effect on the entire offense. Teams can’t cover everyone and one more weapon means one more impossible-to-defend play. With Gallup back, we saw Lamb slide inside taking the bulk of his snaps from the slot position. And to NFL defenses, that’s simply not fair…

Additionally, Lamb has developed chemistry and trust with Dak Prescott to the point Dak can now throw it up to a point on the field and trust his star WR to make the play. That could prove to be key in January.

Dak Prescott, QB

Speaking of Dak, No. 4 had himself a rebound day, putting up three touchdowns and 296 yards while averaging a league-leading 0.78 EPA/play for a 27.2 total EPA, playing through a little more than the first three quarters of action. After playing arguably his worst game in roughly three years last week, the180 was a welcomed sight for Cowboys Nation.

Dak is the Dallas Cowboys single greatest weapon on the roster and ultimately the determining factor in how far this team can go. Seeing him respond in the way he did is a glorious sight.
