Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft

Jaxson Kirkland – Offensive Tackle/Guard – Washington

The nice thing about Kirkland is his ability to play both tackle and guard. Depending on how the Cowboys address both positions, Kirkland could answer both scenarios. Kirkland may need to add a little size with more consistent guard snaps, but he has good agility and speed to pull with a high desire to make hard blocks. His hands needs some technique work, but there is nothing to say he can’t or won’t do it.

His flexibility will allow a transition from Tyron Smith or a move of Williams. At worst, Kirkland becomes your sixth-best lineman instantly, with a good chance to move up. I don’t think he could be a center due to be size but has the intelligence for it. He bolsters a line that needs help in consistency and Kirkland helps there.

The offensive line is a real question heading into this offseason. Injuries, poor play, and some other issues have forced the front office to re-look at the line as it stands. There are a few guys on the roster, but age and talent are both something to watch. Now I look for secondary help or defensive tackle help, but open to who is there.
