Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft

Chase Lucas – Cornerback – Arizona State

Lucas is a name from last year when I was doing early mocks, but after he decided to return to school, he was no longer on the table. What I liked about Lucas last year are much of the same things I like this year, and some of the things I don’t like I am still not a fan of. That said a late round corner who has all the flashes, ball skills, and fits better in the slot could be a good thing to grab. He is solid in coverage with shown ability to ballhawk, although the past few seasons have not been as kind.

Not knowing how this team will work with free agents and how these players will do in the pre-draft process, it is hard to project. As more film is broken down and tests are completed these could all change in a hurry. I know the pain of the loss is there, but maybe looking forward to next season can help.

We do know next year there will be some changes and there will be some we are not expecting. The Cowboys could be looking for coaches as well as players, that could also change some things with the draft as well. For now, we slink into the offseason and try to rub off the pain of 2021.
