With the 154th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys Select:

123. . DL. Dallas Cowboys. Eyioma Uwazurike. 154. player

The Dallas Cowboys have a very peculiar situation on the defensive line. Here they take Eyioma Uwazurike, who played every spot along the DL at Iowa State.

The build of the player is spectacular. 6’6″ 315lbs and 35 1/8″ arms. A strong player with decent athleticism. Uses his length to his advantage, especially in the run game.

This is the kind of player you look at him fill out the uniform, you see the measurements and wonder how he’s available in the fifth round? There’s good reason. He’s not an explosive player. Rather stiff and lacks a pass rush. Pad level is rather poor, but there’s lots to like as well.

The Cowboys have a good group of pass rushing defensive tackles. What they lack is a run stopper and with his size and length there’s no reason to think Uwazurike can’t be molded into a helpful 1 Tech and Nose Tackle.
