With the 155th pick in the 2022 NFL Draft the Dallas Cowboys select
While I think the Dallas Cowboys are extremely high on Cam Jurgans I don’t think he’s going to make it this far down the board. In fact, Fortner is someone who could very well be gone too since I have him with a late fourth grade.
The reality is the Cowboys scouted a handful of mid-round centers and don’t seem content with Tyler Biadasz as the starter. They will try to bring in someone here to offer competition and eventually take the reins.
Tyler Biadasz improved as the season went on last year so the need isn’t at extreme levels but he still graded below average so chances are the Cowboys want to find SOMONE to push him. With Kenyon Green elevating the LG spot and Zack Martin entrenched at RG, the stage is set for improvement at center.

Fortner, 6-foot-4, 307lbs, looks the part of the prototypical center. He’s not dominant, by any means, but looks to be just good enough to be an NFL starter. He’s a hard worker who doesn’t miss games and is polished enough to push Biadasz right away.
It would be shocking if the Cowboys didn’t bring in someone to compete and in round 4-5 Fortner could be that guy.
