Final Dallas Cowboys Mock Draft Prediction (Dan 2022 Edition)
Dallas Cowboys Round Six – Romeo Doubs – Wide Receiver – Nevada
It may seem odd going back to back with Nevada players, but Doubs offers some speed to both the wide receiver spot and special teams but should be a little bit of a project. A knee injury certainly didn’t help him with testing, so he has fallen on boards. A bit of a steal if he can be what he was in 2020 and pull his entire game together.
Doubs is exciting with the ball in his hands and has the twitch and acceleration to get behind defensive backs and make huge plays. His big-play ability also shows up on punt returns which fills a need to keep CeeDee Lamb off special teams. He uses his body well but is a little wiry to be a true physical receiver. Sharp footwork helps him get off press and create separation downfield.
Doubs needs to add some size to be a top-two receiver in the future. He will sometimes have concentration drops and flashed some body catching at times. With all the footwork ability he has, sometimes his awareness on the sidelines just isn’t where you would hope it would be. He needs work, but can easily find a home on special teams and as a fourth or fifth wide receiver.
