Dontario Drummond, WR, Ole Miss

The Dallas Cowboys will continue to look for receiving options and size seems to be a target of the team. Drummond is a bigger framed receiver who could find a role with special teams play on punt returns. More than likely a practice squad player with some traits to like.

Drummond is explosive with his footwork and smooth in his routes. He has a large catch radius which he support with his frame to shield defenders well. He is a physical runner who can and will break some tackles if defenders try to arm tackle him. Does well to locate and sit in zones opening himself to the quarterback.

Drummond isn’t going to fly past a lot of defenders and his overall speed hurts his separation ability. He has a limited route tree and wasn’t asked to go deep often and relied on quick, short throws. He tends to hold when blocking in the run game and will need to work on technique.
