Dallas Cowboys O-Line

Offensive line (10)

Tyron Smith, Tyler Smith, Tyler Biadasz, Zack Martin, Terence Steele, Connor McGovern, Matt Waletzko, Josh Ball, Alex Lindstrom, Matt Farniok

The starters are pretty obvious. Even if Tyler Smith is a mess, the starting LG job is likely his to lose since McGovern can only play on the right side for some reason.

Speaking of McGovern, serving the utility role he will help the Cowboys fulfill FB, TE, and even some H-back duties without having to keep any of those players on the roster. He proved last year he’s an important utility player and I expect the Dallas Cowboys to lean on him in that role significantly in 2022 once again.

We haven’t seen anything from Ball or Waletzko as pros but the Dallas Cowboys seem enamored with their skill sets. I believe they will forgo the veteran swing tackle role this season and roll the dice with developmental prospects at OT.

The last two spots go to the interior O-line. Alex Lindstrom has a chance to challenge for the starting center role and Matt Farniok is someone who has had a strong offseason of weight training. Both have the inside track to be the interior reserve guys.

Given how little we’ve seen from many of these reserve lineman this should be an interesting thing to monitor this summer in training camp.
