Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster prediction (2022 post-draft edition)

More Dallas Cowboys Defense
Cornerback (5)
Trevon Diggs, Anthony Brown, Jourdan Lewis, Nahshon Wright, Isaac Taylor-Stuart
Things are troubling at cornerback. Expected starter, Kelvin Joseph was involved in an offseason shooting that resulted in the loss of life. While it appears he’s avoided criminal charges, it seems unlikely he’ll avoid the long arm of Roger Goodell (more on that below).
Since it would be shocking if KJ would be available for Week 1, everyone steps up on the depth chart. AB goes back to CB2, Lewis takes over the slot again, and Wright rotates in for spot duty. For lack of a better option, UDFA Isaac Taylor-Stuart wins the final roster spot. He’s a long and fast prospect the Dallas Cowboys like who hopefully won’t see action too soon in his career.
Safety (4)
Donovan Wilson, Malik Hooker, Markquese Bell, Israel Mukuamu
Wilson and Hooker are the primary starters at safety with UDFA Bell and second year player Mukuamu providing depth. Keep in mind we also have Kearse grouped with the linebackers so there’s more depth that it looks like here.
Tyler Coyle is dark horse. He’s a special teams weapon and has some unteachable traits that could win him a spot. The last few spots at safety are truly up in the air so it should be a fun battle to watch this summer but right now I think Izzy’z length wins him the last job.
Total Roster Spots: 53
This is all before a single snap has been taken so expect things to change between now and mini-camps. But as of today, things are set up to offer a pretty good competition on both sides of the ball.
