Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster

Dallas Cowboys Offensive line (9): Tyron Smith, Terence Steele, Zack Martin, Tyler Smith, Matt Waletzko, Josh Ball, Matt Farniok, Connor McGovern, James Empey

Tyron Smith and Zack Martin maybe on the downslope of their careers but they’re still playing at a high rate and can be dominant forces for the Dallas Cowboys. Martin is still the best in the game and Tyron is safety in the top-5. Terence Steele took enormous steps last season so as an ascending talent he clearly has a spot as well.

The rookie Tyler Smith is raw as can be but he’s a brute force with All-Pro potential. Waletzko has the measurable and athletic profile you dream of so his ceiling makes him a lock. Josh Ball has starting LT potential and Connor McGovern could be a future starting guard or center.

Speaking of center, if we’re going off potential, Tyler Biadasz may miss my cut on this 53-man roster projection. After two seasons as starting center, his returns are only moderate and as such, his potential seems lower than what it once was considered to be.

Matt Farniok has an elite athletic profile and is learning the center position. As far as potential, his ceiling appears much higher (even if his floor is lower). Joining him in the battle at center is the rookie James Empey.

Empey has a track record and the measurable to be a good starting center in the NFL so he makes the squad as an interior linemen who could challenge for the starting center job.
