Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster prediction

Offensive line (9): Tyron Smith, Tyler Smith, Tyler Biadasz, Zack Martin, Terence Steele, Connor McGovern, Josh Ball, Matt Waletzko, Matt Farniok

The Dallas Cowboys just follow the chalk here. Sure, Ball and Waletzko are developmental guys, but word out of OTAs is they are already as good as any veteran swing tackle the Cowboys could bring in, so they make the cut here.

Connor McGovern is the swing interior lineman and Matt Farniok is depth. Not flashy but about as safe and in-the-moment as you can get.

Defensive line (9): DeMarcus Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong, Osa Odighizuwa, Neville Gallimore, Carlos Watkins, Sam Williams, Quinton Bohanna, Tarell Basham, Dante Fowler

The first four names are the starters. Carlos Watkins is a player who can play 1 and 2 gap at DE or DT so he’s pretty important to the cause. Tarell Basham is equally unexciting but equally as important with his steady and versatile play.

Quinton Bohanna edges out John Ridgeway because Bohanna has a year in the weight room under his belt and Ridgeway is unproven. And Dante Fowler pushes out Chauncey Golston because Golston is still figuring things out while Fowler gives Dan Quinn the higher floor option who’s an instant contributor.
