Dallas Cowboys roster prediction

Defensive line (10) DeMarcus Lawrence, Dorance Armstrong, Neville Gallimore, Osa Odighizuwa, Chuancey Golston, Sam Williams, John Ridgeway, Quinton Bohanna, Dante Fowler, Carlos Watkins

I think the Dallas Cowboys will be going long at DL this season. They have to balance their many young developmental pieces with their proven veteran pieces and that takes roster spots. John Ridgeway and Quinton Bohanna are a bit redundant but if the Cowboys run as many odd-man fronts as I think this season, they’re going to need them.

Carlos Watkins and Chauncey Golston can both play DE and reduce inside making them versatile, and everyone else falls into pass-rusher status.

The Dallas Cowboys have been keeping Micah Parsons heavily involved in EDGE drills/meetings so he figures into the mix. Lawrence and Armstrong will likely get starting duties on the outside with Golston, Fowler, and Williams rotating in behind them.

Missing the cut on the D-line is Trysten Hill and Tarell Basham.

Linebacker (5):Micah Parsons, Leighton Vander Esch, Jabril Cox, Devin Harper, Malik Jefferson

The top three are set but after that it’s anyone’s game. Harper has rookie draft pick status which gives him a leg up and Jefferson should be able to push Gifford for a spot himself. This will all be decided on special teams so we will watch that closely when the pads come on.
