Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster prediction (training camp edition 1.0)

Dallas Cowboys roster prediction
Cornerback (6) Trevon Diggs, Anthony Brown, Jourdan Lewis, Nahshon Wright, Isaac Taylor-Stuart, C.J. Goodwin
Kelvin Joseph will likely begin the season on the suspended list, meaning a spot opens up for the UDFA, Taylor-Stuart. Brown will start outside most of the season and Lewis sill play inside with Wright playing a situational role. Hopefully KJ will earn the starting job before season’s end.
C.J. Goodwin is always a lock but the rookie DeRon Bland could challenge him with elite special teams play – but I’ll believe it when I see it.
Safety (5) Malik Hooker, Jayron Kearse, Donovan Wilson, Markquese Bell, Tyler Coyle
Hooker and Kearse were locked up on multiyear deals this past offseason so they are safe in their starting roles. Dono is in the last year of his rookie contract and he’ll work behind, and in conjunction with, the two starters.
Bell has been a standout every step of the way and has the inside track as SAF4 while Coyle has good enough range to work behind Hooker at FS and be a standout on special teams. This is an extremely fun group to work with and how this shakes out will be dependent on special teams and who is kept at cornerback since there’s a lot of overlap in the secondary.
That’s it. That’s the 53. After the first preseason game we’ll revamp the list with updates from padded practices and that game so be ready for changes.
