Dallas Cowboys player to watch No. 4: Kelvin Joseph – 2nd Round, CB

Nicknamed “BossMan Fat”, second-year defensive back Kelvin Joseph has the talent to succeed in the NFL as a starting cornerback opposite of All Pro Trevon Diggs. But in order for Joseph to do that, he must stay out of trouble (cleared of all charges) and stay healthy.

With that being said, expect Joseph to get a lot of snaps against the Broncos and prove why he can live up to the expectations as a high second round pick. Dallas desperately needs a proven CB#2 to man down that side of the field. Anthony Brown is not as bad as perceived when he plays outside, but Brown is better suited to play his natural position in the slot.

Joseph improving and locking down the CB#2 only makes Dallas secondary more lethal because the safety position is set, Brown can go to the slot, and the secondary as a whole can increase its chances of getting takeaways. As a result, Joseph taking the next step to being a proven corner will be equivalent to being the last piece to a defensive puzzle.

Joseph will get every opportunity to have a breakout season, but it starts on Saturday. So, all eyes will certainly be on Joseph and how it manages it.
