Dallas Cowboys final roster prediction (Post-Denver edition)
By Reid Hanson
Dallas Cowboys Receiver (7)
CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Noah Brown, Jalen Tolbert, Simi Fehoko, Dennis Houston, KaVontae Turpin
Seven is a lot of WRs to keep on the roster but since the Dallas Cowboys have stated they wish to avoid the PUP with Gallup and he’s on track with his recovery, I have no choice but to keep him on the list even if he won’t be available for the first couple games.
Lamb and Brown are your top-2 WRs to open the season with Simi and Tolbert playing steady roles. Tolbert could improve on that but his performance in camp and in Denver haven’t been stunning so I’m going to move him along slowly.
Dennis Houston is unexciting in most aspects but he’s always where he’s supposed to be, can play all three positions, special teams, and has the trust of Dak and the coaching staff. Gotta give him a spot.
Turpin may be the last man on the list but he’s a lock. He’s the clear option as return man in special teams and he shows gadget ability to serve the long vacated Lucky Whitehead role.
Missing the cut is T.J. Vasher. He’s a fun weapon with extra special skills but the Dallas Cowboys can’t afford to keep him on unless he becomes much more consistent down the stretch.
