Dallas Cowboys 4 keys to victory: Don’t eat the cheese in week 4
By John Herndon
Dallas Cowboys Key 3: Don’t eat the cheese.
Bill Parcells used to say “Don’t eat the cheese” when things were going well and he didn’t want his players to take their success for granted, or to read about their success and get overconfident.
I must repeat myself. Dallas must continue to block out the noise.
The NFL season is a marathon, not a sprint. Continue progressing into the NFC bully. We have seen the disturbing pattern of these Cowboys coming out flat when the odds are in their favor.
Even when you are facing an inferior opponent, winning is difficult. Staying locked in is not always a given. Dallas don’t eat the cheese.

Dallas Cowboys Key 4: Stay aggressive
From day one, McCarthy and his staff have been the opposite of the ultra-conservative Jason Garrett. From special teams to the secondary. The team motto has been aggression to a default, but sometimes Kellen Moore backslides into conservative mode.
I am not talking gadget plays, that speaks of desperation but the lack of a vertical passing attack to loosen the opposing defense up.
Dallas has been missing Michael Gallup’s speed and ability to eat up space against safety help since his ACL injury. The last two weeks he has started to look close to suiting up.
All signs point towards his welcomed return and he will add some much-needed juice and that will open up the playbook.
Give me Dallas 38-10. Two divisional wins. Then next week the true hungry games begin as the Cowboys will head to LA to meet the Super Bowl Defending Champions.
