Mike McCarthy’s Dallas Cowboys will face off against a wounded Los Angeles Rams team with an offensive line starting deep depth players at right guard, center and left guard. No Rams offensive lineman has played 100% of the offensive snaps this season. Matthew Stafford is running for his life behind an offensive line littered with injuries.

Some will say that the Ram are suffering from the “Super Bowl Hangover?” I won’t. Instead, they appear to be paying the toll of trading away draft picks like they were tossing free candy to a class of kindergartens during summer break. The lack of depth is glaring but the season is long and sports is fluid. It changes week by week.

Still, the Ram’s offense is struggling, rank 31st in yards per play over the first four weeks of the 2022 NFL season.

The Dallas Cowboys take their act on the road against the defending Super Bowl champions.

The odds makers have listed the Los Angeles Rams as 4.5 favorites over the Dallas Cowboys in this NFL week 5 match-up. Head Coach Mike McCarthy apparently doesn’t read believe in the odd makers.

"“We’re underdogs?” McCarthy asked reporters Thursday, via NFL.com. “We’re good. Alright. Just wrote my Saturday night speech. I’m good. I’ve never used it, but I’ll just say this: We’re nobody’s underdog. So, if you need a quote.”"

Thank you, Coach.

The Micah Parson led defense have to be licking their chops. A defense that has done the heavy lifting while the Dallas Cowboys’ franchise QB continues to heal up.

A defense that leads the league is pressures, QB hits through four weeks with 36, and tied for second in the league with 15 sacks through the first four weeks of the season. A unit that has not allowed 20 points in any game during the first four weeks of the season.

"Per NFL.com “The Cowboys also have a league-high 17 QB pressures coming within three seconds of the snap when using four or fewer pass rushers.”"

Dan Quinn has added speed at every level to compliment the young lion. Look for Micah Parsons to be unleashed against OT Joseph Noteboom.

Some more eye popping data to look at.

Cooper Rush has been a great story but the engine of this team has been its defense. They must answer the call once more.

Let’s spotlight the keys to victory…
