Dallas Cowboys give thanks for….Micah Parsons

As if we could leave this man off the list. Micah Parsons isn’t just the best player on the Dallas Cowboys, but he might be the best player in the entire NFL. At a time when the word “generational” is chronically overused, Parsons is on pace to make “generational” an understatement.

With 10 sacks in 10 games, Parson is now first in the NFL in pressure rate (far most stable than simply counting sacks). He’s rushing from a variety of places: inside, outside, and off ball. And his 0.70 second get-off time, is nearly impossible for even the fastest linemen to stop.

Parsons is clearly interested in piling up the sack count and putting the NFL on notice, but he’s more focused on winning and doing whatever it takes to make this defensive unit as dominant as possible. He’s the cornerstone of the defense and a player this defense will be built around for the next decade.

As long as No. 11 is on the field, anything is possible. That’s not something that is said often outside of the quarterback position but is truly applicable here.
