The NBA trade season is here!! Two weeks from now from various players could be finding new homes. For the Dallas Mavericks, it can only mean one thing: roster upgrades.

At the beginning of the month, a mural outside Deep Ellum in Dallas depicted a frowning Luka Doncic calling Dallas management to send help.

The Dallas Mavericks desperately need to add talent to their roster to help in the short-term and long-term

While the sign did eventually get taken down, could this point towards a chance of scenery?

Possibly.

With the Mavs in desperate need of an upgrade, here are five trade scenarios the team must consider:

1. Myles Turner & Buddy Hield Trade

One idea that could work is adding two scorers in need of a chance. Both Turner and Hield have been in trade talks for over a year. Turner, a Dallas native, would provide the Mavs with rebounding/scoring big who can play a little bit of defense.

As for Hield, he is a 42.4 percent three-point shooter who could help solve some of the team’s shooting woes.

The question though is: What could Dallas give up?

Some options include Tim Hardaway Jr., Christian Wood, Dwight Powell and a future first/second round draft pick.

The most realistic option would probably include Wood. The 6’9 forward has been a big asset. In three out of his past five games, he has averaged a double-double.

Assuming Dallas does not extend Wood, then this would be a top option to consider.
