4. Dallas Mavericks bring in “Scary Terry”

One player that might be cheaper than VanVleet is Charlotte Hornets’ guard Terry Rozier. The former 16th pick has established himself as a up and coming player in Charlotte.

Since his arrival, he has elevated his game. In four seasons with the Hornets, he has averaged more than 18 points a game, with this season being his best.

Currently, he is averaging 21.3 points and 5.2 assists. One thing that stands out is his keen athletic skills of driving to the lane and providing numerus opportunities for himself and his teammates.

This month he is having his best performance putting in 24.8 points on 45.9 percent shooting.

Giving Doncic an extra handler is something on the team’s radar, and the current Hornet provides that.

Why not take a chance on a player who is continuing to rise.

5. Throw all your marbles for Lavine

One final trade Dallas should consider is acquiring two-time all-star Zach Lavine. There is no doubt, the current Bull is unhappy and it would make sense for Dallas to go all in.

Adding a player of his caliber would give Doncic the perfect sidekick, as well as a true dominant scorer.

In 43 games this season he is averaging 23.7 points and 2.2 steals. Being able to provide an extra scorer and defender would help Dallas move up the board.

The biggest issue is the cost. Currently, it is unknown how much a player like him could cost.

Some probabilities include a first round pick or two and multiple of the team’s assets.

Everyone not name Luka is up for grabs.

So why not go all in. It is pretty obvious what is happening now, is not working. Plus, if Dallas can have Wood to pair with Doncic and Lavine,  that could be a dangerous trio.

While these are all just various options, it is something the Mavs and Nico Harrison should definitely take a look at. What do you got to lose? A possible play-in spot.
