Dallas Cowboys Option No. 3

One of the names that has not been talked about enough is Tyler Smith out of Cincinnati. Another smaller receiver, Smith does have a running back background as well, so he could be a dual-threat player, much like Deebo Samuel was for San Fransisco. While Smith doesn’t have the size, he has the moves, so it may just look a little different.

Smith is going to be a slot receiver at the next level, but his change of direction and ability to put space between him and defenders will be intriguing for many teams. While his wingspan won’t wow anyone, he has a better radius than you would think, and has made some really good plays. What really stands out is his ability to use his speed to work through his routes, and he can create his own space.

However, for all the big play ability his size will be an issue unless a team uses him in a specific role. His size shows up when he has to play through contact and in contested catches against bigger corners. He does offer special team ability and if he can be put in the right situation a second-round pick is certainly on the table.
