Dallas Cowboys cornerback (5) Trevon Diggs, Stephon Gilmore, DanRon Bland, Jourdan Lewis, Nahshon Wright

The Cowboys are pretty predictable here at the top of the depth chart. I’m not sure Lewis beats out Bland but in any order they are CB3 and CB4 and it probably won’t be close. Nahshon Wright will win the last spot at CB because he’s shown enough flashes to think he’s developing into a role player at the least.

Kelvin Joseph is done unless he shows something he could do any point last season. His special teams specialist role isn’t going to keep him around anymore and he looks absolutely lost in coverage.

Dallas Cowboys safety (5) Malik Hooker, Jayron Kearse, Donovan Wilson, Israel Mukuamu, C.J. Goodwin

Hooker is the primary free safety while Kearse is the primary box safety. Wilson is everything in between which is a lot since Dallas often plays with three safeties. Izzy is a box player with promising man coverage skills. He was great as a nickel CB in the postseason last year and should be able to contribute the same in 2023.

Markquesse Bell is next man up but ultimately loses a roster spot because Goodwin was re-signed and the Dallas Cowboys adore his special team ability.

Dallas Cowboys special teams (3) Brian Anger, Trent Sieg, Tristan Vizcaino

Punter and long snapper should be secure on the Dallas Cowboys. Anger is one of the better options in the NFL and under contract. Sieg is as good as anyone and has given no reason to doubt him. Kicker is another story.

There’s a good chance the kicker in 2023 will be a player not on this roster right now. Until then, we pencil in Vizcaino.
