2023 NBA Mock Draft

147. . PF. Brooklyn Nets. Kris Murray. 21. player

With their first pick of the round, look for the Nets to add a big who can a little bit of everything. This is where Kris Murray fits right now. In his game of his college career he tallied 15 points and 9 rebounds. For the season he averaged 20 points and 7.9 boards. Scoring and shooting are some of his biggest assets as he knocked down 47.6 percent of his attempted shots last season.

SF. Brooklyn Nets. Maxwell Lewis. 22. player. 147.

With back to back selections in the draft, I can see the Nets using their second pick to focus on a wing who can become a true offensive threat. Maxwell Lewis would a great candidate for the job as he averaged around 17 points last season on 46.8 shooting. Giving the Nets an extra offensive cushion would be just what they need for a team lacking a true all-star caliber player. If he can improve of the defensive side of the ball, then this is an automatic steal for Brooklyn.

34. . C. Portland Trail Blazers. Dereck Lively. 23. player

The former bluedevil has plenty of size for team looking to improve in every aspect. At 7’1 he can a great support down low. While he lacks defensively, there is nothing to say his size and length can’t be translated to the next level.

24. player. 84. . SF. Sacramento Kings. Bilal Coulibaly

At 18 years old Bilal is still developing. His vision on the court and flashy speech can work to his advantage. Just two seasons ago in France he averaged 21.9 points and 2.6 steals. While his numbers have taken a dip since, look for his number to slightly improve on a competitive team.

C. Memphis Grizzlies. Noah Clowney. 25. player. 211.

A big man with a 7’2 wing span could be the dominant presence Memphis is missing down low. At 6’10 he is a great rim finisher who does excellent work on the defensive end. Look for him to fit right in Memphis as his ceiling continues to grow.

100. . C. Indiana Pacers. James Nnaji. 26. player

The Nigerian prospect continues to climb up the boards. In ESPN’s top 100 prospect he ranked 24th overall. His psychical body and quick foot are something that work towards his advantage. As he continue to grow, so will he presence in the league.

2023 NBA Mock Draft

. PG. Charlotte Hornets. Cason Wallace. 27. player. 170

With an already crowded back court, look for Charlotte to continue adding to their problem as guards like Dennis Smith Jr. are expected to hit free agency. The 6’4 guard can play both sides of the ball as he averaged 11 points and two steals last season. A wrecking force down low, look for him to be a great back up to Ball.

28. player. 118. . SG. Utah Jazz. Jaime Jaquez Jr.

Jaquez Jr. would provide quality points for a team in rebuilding mode. For the Bruins last season, he poured in 17.8 points on  48 percent shooting. He would be a solid pickup for a team looking to add points on the board.

SG. Indiana Pacers. Nick Smith Jr.. 29. player. 100.

Smith Jr. is a good pick up for a team looking to score down low. The Arkansas Razorback is continuing to find his groove as he missed a good chunk of last season. If he find a mid range game then this is a steal for Indiana.

30. player. 77. . PF. Los Angeles Clippers. Trayce Jackson-Davis

Jackson-Davis is one of the bottom half steals who can have an immediate impact. Over the past three seasons he averaged more than 18 points a game and eight rebounds. While he may not be a big guy at 6’8, he does an excellent job making his presence felt down low. He attributes resemble that of a Draymond Green type player. 2023 NBA Mock Draft wrap-up…
