An early try at the 2023 Dallas Cowboys 53-man roster prediction
By John Herndon
Dallas Cowboys Wide receivers (5)
CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, Michael Gallup, Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Moreno-Crooper (UDFA)
When you take a look at the depth chart, it becomes apparent that CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Michael Gallup are the top three wide receivers and it’s difficult to dispute that fact. Based on his exceptional talent, it is highly recommended that Jalen Tolbert should not be cut in his second year.
Assuming that Jalen Moreno-Crooper can replicate the same level of performance that I have witnessed on his tape, there is a possibility that he might prove to be too valuable to let go after the training camp/preseason.
West Florida WR David Durden is a dark horse. It is crucial for Jalen Moreno-Crooper to seize his opportunities. David Durden has the potential. Although it’s a big leap from West Florida to the NFL, I really like his tape.
Dallas Cowboys Tight ends (3)
Luke Schoonmaker (R), Jake Ferguson, Peyton Hendershot
The Dallas Cowboys do not require the addition of a veteran to this group. Looking ahead to 2023, it is clear that this young and gifted trio will continue to grow and develop, making them even more capable of causing damage.
Based on my observations, I have high expectations that all three members will make valuable contributions towards the team’s offensive strategy.
