Dallas Cowboys training camp schedule (Oxnard Cowboys Camp 2023)

The Dallas Cowboys were always planning on returning to Oxnard for training camp in 2023. After years of making Southern California their preseason home they weren’t about to rock the boat now.

Great weather, a supportive campus and perfect infrastructure make Oxnard ideal for the team, media and fans alike. But scheduling and logistical factors needed to fall into place before dates were finalized and preparation could be made.

The Dallas Cowboys have announced their training camp schedule for Oxnard California in Cowboys Camp 2023.

Training camp kicks off on Wednesday, July 26th for an 11:30 open practice. Team will arrive prior but it will not be open to the public just like previous seasons.

Thursday, July 27 will mark the second open practice. The team will take the field at 11:30 as players slowly ramp up into future padded sessions.

Fan Night will be the first Friday on July 28th from 4-6 pm. On Saturday, July 29 the Dallas Cowboys will hold their opening ceremony, opening the gates at 9am and featuring and open practice at 11:30 am.

Sunday, July 30 will be an off day but fans are invited to attend the Cheerleaders Dance clinic at Rio Mesa High School from 9am-12pm.

Monday, July 31 will be open practice from 11am-1pm, which will repeat on Tuesday August 1, Thursday, August 3 and Saturday, August 5. On Monday, August 7 the Dallas Cowboys will hold Heroes Appreciation Day, holding an open practice at the usual 11am timeslot.

The last four practices in Oxnard will take place at the usual time on Tuesday, August 8, Thursday, August 10, Monday, August 14, and Tuesday, August 15. At the conclusion of their Oxnard Cowboys Camp 2023, the Dallas Cowboys will head back to Frisco to conclude their camp and finish their preseason.

Dallas Cowboys preseason games (dates, times, details)

Wedged in the middle of Cowboys Camp will be three preseason games. The first game will face off against the Jaguars on Saturday, August 12 at 5pm. Preseason Game 2 will be played against the Seahawks in Seattle on Saturday, August 19 at 10pm, after which the Dallas Cowboys will head back to Frisco for the final portion of Cowboys Camp.

The Dallas Cowboys preseason will conclude against the Raiders at AT&T Stadium on August 26 at 8pm. The Dallas Cowboys typically don’t play many starters in the preseason so they will likely use games to test young fringe players before final cuts are made on August 31.
