The 2024 season had to be torturous for Jerry Jones and every Dallas Cowboys fan out there. After watching your team dominate the regular season for three straight seasons, the Cowboys lost a number of coaches and key players from last year's team and completely fell apart.

And it wasn't just the departures that hurt the Cowboys, but the injury bug bit this team hard as well.

The Cowboys were without star quarterback Dak Prescott for most of the year, which hurt especially after Prescott signed a massive contract right on the doorstep of the regular season getting underway. Dallas also had to deal without Micah Parsons for a decent stretch this year and that obviously didn't do them any favors.

But the team's strength of depth was on display at times as Dallas still played hard in the second half of the season. It was still brutal watching old friend Dan Quinn and his squad in Washington not only make the playoffs but now win a playoff game on the road...

The Cowboys are back to the drawing board in 2025 and have several major free agents set to hit the market if they don't act fast. Who are the top three in-house free agents this team needs to re-sign as soon as possible in 2025?

1. Zack Martin, Offensive Guard

Here is the simple situation facing the Dallas Cowboys and offensive guard Zack Martin in the 2025 offseason: If Martin wants to play in 2025, the Cowboys need to re-sign him. Period. End of story.

The Cowboys had to get an unwanted glimpse of life without Martin this past year when he was injured and replaced eventually by Brock Hoffman in the lineup. Cooper Beebe eventually took over at the center position as hoped when he was drafted. Dallas is already in the midst of a bit of a youth movement on the line as a whole with the starters at left tackle (Tyler Guyton), left guard (Tyler Smith), and center (Beebe) all being drafted in the last couple of years.

But Martin is a future Hall of Famer who should be able to decide when his time is done, not have it decided for him. If injuries force him out, then so be it. But if he gets healthy and wants to play, the Cowboys shouldn't hesitate to welcome him back.
