2. Osa Odighizuwa, Defensive Line

The players you want to re-sign in free agency; and specifically the ones you want to re-sign immediately are the guys who come into your program through the NFL draft, develop well, and earn their way to a second contract.

Osa Odighizuwa was a third-round pick for the Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft, and he's developed into a heck of a player on the interior defensive line for them. He had 4.5 sacks this past season and a career-high 23 quarterback hits. Over the last four years, he's not missed a single game.

This past year for the Cowboys, Odighizuwa proved he's worth a big-money contract in the offseason by staying on the field for a career-best 860 total defensive snaps. That's 230 more than he's played in any individual season before.

When you're looking at this Dallas roster as a whole, they need pieces like Odighizuwa to be around for the foreseeable future. He's only 26 years old and won't be 27 until August. If he were to hit the open market in free agency, he would probably command a contract north of $20 million per season.

He was definitely unlocked and unleashed this past year for Dallas and with his development, you can't help but feel like the Cowboys could be cooking with grease on the defensive front with a fully healthy Parsons again.
