2. Damone Clark, linebacker

We've seen the Dallas Cowboys go with a partial youth movement at the off-ball linebacker position in the first year under new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

Zimmer brought in Eric Kendricks to come in and be a "quarterback" of the defense, of sorts, but the Cowboys have not maintained the status quo at the linebacker position outside of Kendricks, who has played over 91 percent of the snaps so far.

They've been really bringing along second-year player DeMarvion Overshown, who unfortunately missed his entire rookie season due to an ACL injury suffered in the preseason. Overshown has proven himself as a legitimate long-term starting option for the Packers this year with 37 total tackles, a pair of QB hits, and a couple of solid plays in coverage as well. He's playing more and more confident by the week.

The Cowboys also really like rookie Marist Liufau, a third-round pick out of Notre Dame who has already played 128 snaps so far this season. As the year goes along, Liufau is only going to see his role continue to grow.

That makes the present and future for someone like former starter Damone Clark a little unclear. The Cowboys have had enough injuries defensively that it wouldn't be shocking to see them keep him around, but at the same time, teams in need of linebacker help around the league may view Clark as a viable starting solution and Dallas might be able to help them out for the right price before the deadline.

With Clark being phased out at this point, it would make sense if Dallas traded him before the month of October is over.
