The Dallas Cowboys finally landed their next head coach. On Friday evening, they announced that Brian Schottenheimer will become the 10th head coach in team history.
After parting ways with Mike McCarthy after five seasons, the Cowboys brought in Leslie Frazier, Robert Saleh, and former Cowboys' offensive coordinator Kellen Moore for interviews. There were also discussions around Jason Witten and Deion Sanders but nothing materialized.
That led to Schottenheimer being the new lead guy. He's been in Dallas since 2022. He's held roles as a coaching analyst and offensive coordinator before making the jump to head coach. Despite this being his first time as a head coach, he has around 28 years of experience in the league.
Since the Cowboys finally landed a head coach, the attention is on how this roster can improve. In this article, we'll discuss three players Schottenheimer could lure to Dallas.
1. Noah Brown, WR
The Cowboys will need to add more juice to the WR core to the team. CeeDee Lamb is the main playmaker in the aerial attack, but the offense needs another weapon in the offseason.
Someone they could bring in is receiver Noah Brown. The Cowboys drafted the 27-year-old in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent five seasons with Dallas, reeling in 82 catches for 980 yards and three touchdowns.
His best season in the pros came in 2022, where he notched career-highs in (43) and touchdowns (3) with 555 receiving yards.
That was the same scheme that Schottenheimer will be running in 2025. Bringing him back on a one-year deal could be something enticing for the Cowboys and a new offense next season.
