2. Leody Taveras

With the rapid emergence of Wyatt Langford and Evan Carter, along with Ranger slugger Adolis Garcia still patrolling the outfield periodically, centerfielder Leody Taveras has quickly become the odd man out in the Rangers outfield.

To make matters worse, Taveras's numbers have steadily declined, and he put up some of the lowest numbers of his career in 2024, finishing with a shockingly low .229 batting average, which was nearly 40 points lower than his 2023 average.

While Taveras remains an adequate outfielder, especially from a defensive standpoint, it seems he has simply been replaced by younger, more electrifying talent along with the arrival of veteran slugger Joc Pederson, who will likely be splitting time in the outfield and at DH through the upcoming season.

While Taveras has had a leaps and valleys career with the Rangers, he was a vital member of the Rangers first ever World Series-winning team and will always be a member of Rangers lore to make his contributions.

3. Adolis Garcia

Fans might be stunned to see Adolis Garcia on this list, but I'm afraid it's true with Garcia coming off by far the worst season of his career and going into arbitration after the 2025 season. Also, the Rangers front office has recently added multiple sluggers to the roster which puts much more pressure on Garcia to succeed  going into the season .

While Garcia remains a fan favorite due to the legendary performance he put on through the Ranger's postseason run in 2023, his massive fall back to earth in 2024 could initiate the slugger's time with the Rangers coming to an end.

As mentioned earlier the Rangers added a number of powerful bats to their roster this offseason,, including Jake Burger and Kyle Higashioka, along with the recently signed Joc Pederson. Any of these players could replace Garica at DH if he is unable to quickly revert into the player he was before his underwhelming 2024 campaign.

If this happens to be Garcia’s final season with the Rangers, it will be disappointing to see his time with them come to an end. He will always be a legend in the eyes of Rangers fans due to his heroic performance in the 2023 ALCS, which eventually led to the Rangers winning their first World Series in franchise history.
