The Dallas Cowboys had an interesting offseason that was headlined by the hiring of Brian Schottenheimer as the head coach.
Prior to getting the head coaching gig, he was their offensive coordinator from 2023-2024, so he has familiarity with the star players on the team.
With the 2025 NFL draft finally on the back burner, the attention is fully on preparing for next season. The Cowboys had rookie minicamps running from May 2 to May 4, and Schottenheimer was asked about moving Micah Parsons' seat closer to Dak Prescott's in the locker room.
He said, "We moved some guys around. This year, I did along with the help of the staff….They don’t really get a say in that, but there’s a method to the madness.”

Brian Schottenheimer Talks About Moving Micah Parsons and Dak Prescott Closer in the Locker Room
Schottenheimer added that he just wanted to switch things up in 2025 since it's a new year. He added that he plans on switching seats in the locker room every season going forward. While this isn't a major change, he's looking to alter some things around.
Having Parsons and Prescott closer to each other in the locker room could be something that makes these two talk more before running out on game day. Granted, we have no idea how much these guys talked in the locker room prior to this, but it's clear Schottenheimer wants his two top guys near each other.
They are the leaders of the team, and their voices matter in the locker room. If the team needs a bolt of energy, these guys can quickly walk over to each other and decide it's time to speak up. Being closer can also bolster their friendship off the field.
This isn't something that will have a big impact on the field but after missing out on the playoffs last year, Schottenheimer wants to make some tweaks ahead of 2025.
