Dallas Mavericks fans are still looking for redemption after Luka Doncic was traded. They got lucky in the NBA Lottery with less than two percent odds to draft Cooper Flagg, but they did it. Now, we await to see his next leap over the next few years, which could be monstrous.

Andy Bailey from Bleacher Report agrees. He made a list predicting the top 30 players in 2030, and Cooper Flagg was No. 6. It fits perfectly, considering he's behind Anthony Edwards, Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Luka Doncic and Victor Wembanyama.

This shows the Mavericks are in more than good hands, considering Flagg's career is about to take off. He's still got a weakness to his game, but that should be fixed in due time.

"At this rate, the three-point shot is bound to come along at some point. (Flagg's) playmaking is only going to keep getting better too. And with his competitiveness, the thought of being the sixth best player in the league in four years would only make him push even harder to be first."

The Mavericks look championship-bound in the future with Cooper Flagg leading the way

Of course, there's a lot to unpack about the future with the Mavericks, but it looks like Flagg will be in for one of the biggest contracts in NBA history, hopefully with the Mavericks.

He's already being compared to LeBron James and Michael Jordan, but of course, the historians always talk about championships and MVPs. Flagg is too good to miss out on one of those one day, but it's only a matter of getting the right supporting cast around him.

Speaking of the No. 2 player on that list, Doncic, there's still a chance that he comes back to Dallas for the reunion of a lifetime. Flagg and Doncic together would rock the league. The only problem is thinking about the financial woes the Mavs would have to endure for that to happen.

The only thing fans have questions about is Flagg's leadership status. He's already got the clutch gene, and he's already taken the league by storm, finishing first on the team in points, rebounds, assists and steals during their first year. The only other person to do that as a rookie is Jordan.

He's a legend in the making, and Mavs president Masai Ujiri is already doing wonders by putting Flagg around the right pieces like Morez Johnson Jr. and Sergio De Larrea. Johnson Jr. is the glue guy who's going to be side-by-side with Flagg defensively. De Larrea already looks like a young Doncic with his lob and playmaking abilities.

There's a championship here for Dallas in the making, and Flagg at No. 6 in 2026 only makes it more likely to be the best player in the world sooner rather than later.
