After finishing up the NFL Draft and signing undrafted free agents, the Dallas Cowboys are officially on the road to the 2025 season. Over the next couple of months, the Cowboys will officially put their 7-10 campaign from last season in the rearview mirror and move on to the first year of the Brian Schottenheimer era.
But before the Cowboys open the season, the rookies will have their chance to impress during their own minicamp. The dates of the camp have been clouded in secrecy in the days after the draft but they were finally made official on Wednesday, revealing when fans can get their first look at their new rookies in action.
NFL Reveals Dates for Cowboys Rookie Minicamp
The Cowboys announced that rookie minicamp will take place May 2-4. The camp will feature the team’s draft class, including first-round pick Tyler Booker, the team’s undrafted free agents, as well as players that have received a rookie minicamp invitation.
It’s the latest step in Dallas’s offseason program which began on April 14. When minicamp finishes, the team will hold its offseason activities (OTA) workouts on May 19-20, May 22, May 28-30, June 2-3 and June 5. The team will conclude the offseason program with mandatory minicamp from June 10-12 before the Cowboys break ahead of training camp towards the end of July.
There are plenty of interesting storylines coming into rookie minicamp, especially in regards to how Booker meets his high expectations after being selected with the 12th overall pick. Second-round pick Donovan Ezeiruaku and cornerback Shavon Revel will also get their first chance to impress, along with the rest of Dallas’s nine-player draft class.
It’s not exactly what the rookies will see during their first training camp, but it’s a step in that process as the Cowboys march toward a new season.
