This isn't just based on three games of production, but looking back at last season's injury and how sideways the 2024 campaign went due to his missing such a large chunk of time.
While players cannot help injuries, durability is a piece of how contracts are judged looking back. As great as Prescott has been in the past, his contract will age like warm milk in the Arlington sun if he can't stay on the field.
