The Dallas Cowboys have made some major moves this offseason, but their most important signing still has not come yet.

Jerry Jones and the Cowboys' front office have paid several players over the years, but for one reason or another, their best player has yet to agree on a new contract. Despite the lack of movement in negotiations between the two sides, Dallas head coach Brian Schottenheimer recently spoke with Micah Parsons, and the star linebacker shared that video on TikTok for the world to see.

Schottenheimer Makes Promise to Micah Parsons amid Negotiations

As you can see from the clip below, Schottenheimer was quick to express his thanks for how Parsons has handled everything to this point, and reassured the star linebacker that the franchise would take care of business in the end.

“I know this is weird for everybody, but look, you’re handling everything the right way, bro,” Schottenheimer told Parsons, via Charean Williams of NBC Sports. “This thing is going to get worked out.”

The Cowboys know that Parsons is an invaluable member of the roster for the impact he makes both on the field and in the locker room. He is the type of talent that any franchise would want to build around, and Dallas was lucky he fell into its lap on draft night in 2021.

In 63 career games for the Cowboys, all of which Parsons has started, the former Penn State University standout has recorded an astounding 52.5 quarterback sacks. The linebacker also has a penchant for punching the ball out of ball carriers' hands, forcing nine fumbles to go along with four recoveries, one of which was returned for a touchdown.

It remains to be seen just what Parsons' next contract will look like, as the odds are strong that it will be a record-breaking deal. These kinds of lucrative extensions take time to work out and, as Schottenheimer noted, the All-Pro defender has conducted himself as the consummate professional during these negotiations.
