The Dallas Cowboys made one of the biggest trades of the NFL offseason when they swung a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers for recent second-round pick George Pickens.
With the needs at the wide receiver position addressed, the Cowboys are still a threat to make another big splash on the trade market. While no deal appears imminent, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has named Dallas a team to watch in the sweepstakes to land one of the top secondary players in the NFL today.
As you can see from the clip below, Fowler makes his case for the Cowboys to be the team that makes a move for Miami Dolphins All-Pro Jalen Ramsey. Given how the front office has attacked the offseason, Dallas stands out as a franchise willing to take a chance on the former top-five pick.
Yesterday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN mentions the #Cowboys “could be one to watch” for a Jalen Ramsey trade.

Why? They still have a need at the position and have shown to be aggressive this offseason with trades.
Nothing imminent; just something to monitor.

While there would be some financial hurdles that need to be navigated to add the highest-paid cornerback in the league to the Cowboys roster, Jerry Jones has shown he is willing to do what it takes to get a deal done when there is a player he covets.
Is Ramsey that type of talent in the eyes of Dallas' front office? Considering that both Trevon Diggs and third-round pick Shavon Revel Jr. are working to make their way back from injuries, Ramsey provides an instant starting option that allows those players to take their time returning to the field.
The 2025 season needs to be a statement year for Dallas after injuries forced the Cowboys to fall well short of expectations last year. Adding a player of Ramsey's caliber would be the first warning shot to the rest of the NFL that Dallas is back and it means business.
