It's been one of the worst last few weeks for a Washington Commanders fan. Their star offensive tackle, Laremy Tunsil, suffered a torn triceps and will be out for a significant portion of the season. But that's not the latest buzz that has Commanders fans rolling their eyes.
Nicki Jhabvala, a Commanders reporter for The Athletic, just labeled the Commanders' latest offensive Achilles' heel as the kiss of death. Apparently, the Commanders are missing more than just Tunsil, and Jhabvala says the offensive line is really struggling (in the words of Joe Namath).

The Washington Commanders are going through a tough offseason
Yikes, we knew the Commanders had a lot to work on after Tunsil's injury, but this is about the worst news for them and about the best news for the rest of the NFC. The Commanders recently added D.J. Humphries to help out the O-line, but it's not working out the way fans hope.
Why is this important for the Cowboys? Well, for one, the Boys play Washington in Week 2, and Dallas will be looking to go 2-0 to start the season before an early-season gauntlet against the Ravens, Texans, Buccaneers, Packers and Eagles. That's not to say the Cowboys will lose five straight games after a 2-0 start; that is, if they start that way.
But the Commanders are clearly struggling, and the Cowboys' defense can showcase what they're all about in this one.
The Giants and the Commanders will be saved for the last two games of the season. We assume the Eagles and Cowboys will be battling for the top NFC East spot, so if the Cowboys need a couple of wins to boost their playoff chances, they have two bottom feeders at the end of the schedule.
We should note that we've seen gaffes from Jalen Hurts recently too. If there's any time to make mistakes, it's right now. Based on what the Commanders' reporter was saying, it seems like it's a long way from being fixed. Struggling is one thing, but Jhabvala says this was the worst he's seen in years.
That's a big statement from someone who has been covering the team for years, and if he's right, NFL teams are going to have field days against Jayden Daniels.
Speaking of Daniels, he's probably the last ray of hope for Commanders fans in this mess. His job just got a whole lot tougher, and it's something Cowboys fans can rejoice over.
