The Dallas Cowboys are back at home for the Week 6 clash against the Detroit Lions. They've won two straight games and look to keep the positive momentum going.

While they've been relatively healthy on the offensive side outside of Brandin Cooks, who recently underwent knee injury. It's been the defensive side of the ball where the Cowboys can't seem to catch a break.

They are already without Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence, Marshawn Kneeland, and DaRon Bland. Now that Sunday's game is on the horizon, the Cowboys will be without yet another defender.

Cowboys News: LB Eric Kendricks Has Been Ruled Out

Per Adam Schefter, LB Eric Kendricks is ruled out for the Week 6 contest against the Lions. To make matters worse, his backup Nick Vigil, is also questionable with a foot injury.

Kendricks joined the team in the offseason and has already made a positive impact on the field. Through five games, the UCLA product leads the team in total tackles (52) with two tackles for loss, two sacks, two pass deflections, and one forced fumble.

His presence out there will be missed, especially in the run game. The 32-year-old has logged 10-plus tackles in three straight games and everyone knows the Lions will hand the ball off to David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs. Detroit ranks seventh in the NFL in rushing offense (151.3) so not having a veteran force in the middle will be a challenge for Dallas.

That means they'll be leaning on DeMarvion Overshown some more on Sunday. Despite only playing in five games, the Cowboys have been slammed with a bunch of injuries on the defensive side of the ball.
