While Jerry Jones and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys' brain trust are in the Dallas Cowboys' war room waiting to be on the clock at No. 12 on Thursday, Cowboys fans should be able to get some entertainment out of watching the New York Giants suffer through the usual drama around their first-round pick.
One of the biggest sources of drama in this year's draft has been Shedeur Sanders' draft stock, and of course the New York Giants find themselves at the center of it.
The Giants seem completely torn on what they're going to do at the quarterback position, and that promises to continue their long stretch of struggles.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, in addition to attending his respective pro day and individual workouts, the Giants had a steady presence at the vast majority of games played by Sanders as well as at a number of practice sessions throughout the season.
With the amount of time and resources that the Giants put into scouting Sanders this past season, Cowboys fans would think that their division rival would have done enough homework on the QB prospect to know what sort of value, if any, he'd have to the long-term health of the franchise.
These types of leaks are the last thing you want coming out of your organization the week of the NFL Draft. It doesn't take much these days for fans and media members alike to label a front office as being incompetent and not being able to come to a consensus on what direction to go with a top-three selection the week of the draft when this amount of time has been spent scouting a prospect is as bad of a look as it gets.
The son of the former Cowboys defender will be selected at some point during the opening round of the draft on Thursday. Whether or not that landing spot is the Big Apple remains to be seen as the people making the decisions for the Giants seem as confused about their plans as the rest of us.
In the meantime, Dallas fans can sit back and enjoy watching one of their division rivals squirm with uncertainty.
