The Cowboys' slim postseason chances were reduced significantly after another inexcusable loss and star QB Dak Prescott was caught giving an honest, yet bleak, assessment of Dallas' mediocre team.

Few could argue that this roster was one capable of NFC contention. Even still, a 3-5 record in a competitive NFC with a difficult schedule ahead makes every week monumental. Prescott and the Cowboys didn't show up to play in Week 9, virtually ending Dallas' season before it had a real chance to even begin.

Daylight savings time started on Sunday for most of the country, yet this team ensured darkness surrounded fans' households long before now. If you're unsure, just take Prescott at his word.

Few will need a translator to understand what the newly-minted $240 million man is saying, but if you struggle to read lips, it appears Prescott mutters "we f****** suck." It's a poor description of his team and an even worse look for a former MVP finalist meant to elevate his roster to new heights.

Presscott is averaging only 6.9 yards per attempt, his worst mark since 2017. He's got eight interceptions, one fewer than he threw in the entire 2023-24 campaign. By any objective measure, this offense isn't working.

Dallas' defense deserves a bulk of the blame but so does Prescott and a new-look offense led by Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore. McCarthy is already considered long gone, though Moore's failed in his attempt to inject energy into the offense.

Fans have been frustrated with the Cowboys' playoff collapses for years. In a bittersweet moment, they won't need to worry about that this season. Dallas is virtually eliminated, McCarthy virtually fired, and the entire roster on virtual notice.

Jerry Jones' decisions have haunted a beloved franchise for years, yet Prescott's comments might be the final straw for a devoted fed-up group of fans.
